Paddy Mountifield set up the Yorkshire Game Larder initially as an outlet to sell game that he had stalked, shot and butchered himself. He began by supplying local restaurants and selling his wares through farmers markets.
As a proud Yorkshire man whose family have had strong links with the farming community of East Yorkshire for generations, Paddy began to expand the business to bring together the finest local produce supporting local suppliers and farmers exclusively.
We opened the doors to The Yorkshire Meat & Game Larder in South Cave in 2015 and are proud that all our finest quality meat and game is locally sourced within 10 miles of this shop.
We stock an exciting and extensive range all prepared onsite by our expert butchers Richard and Mark. So whether you are after a locally sourced Sunday Roast or a fantastic T-bone steak The Yorkshire Meat & Game Larder can deliver it. We also stock seasonal and speciality meats such as venison, rabbit, pigeon and partridge and work with Darren Whittaker to offer rare breeds.
